Just one week has passed, and it’s time to celebrate again: the next paycheck marked with the big B was earned today.
I would dance, if I could. Well, that will have to wait till August, when my Achilles tendon is fully healed.

But anyway:

On my last trip to Berlin, I was watching Kill Bill Vol. 2. And because the train-ride was longer than the movie, I watched the extras as well. And there I heard it: Malaguena Salerosa, live performed by Chingon on the premiere of Kill Bill Vol. 2.

PS: Buying a portable DVD-Player was one the best and worthwile purchases I made.

Wir warten großartig. Nicht nur unser toller Team-Name, der irgendeinem kranken Hirn entsprungen sein muss.

Ohne “Rechenfehler” wären wir nach Runde 3 auf Platz 2 beim Fritz-Kneipenquiz gewesen. Wir hatten dann plötzlich die eigentlich erste Gruppe um uns stehen. Das sah erst nach Lynchmob aus, war eine sehr hilfreiche Unterstützung in der Endrunde, fühlte sich aber trotzdem noch wie Geier-über-der-Schulter an.

Aber der Abend war groß. Nicht nur wegen der netten und noch dazu hübschen Dame neben mir.

Danke fürs mitnehmen, jeck. Aber 15 Minuten Ruhm? Das? Ich hoffe mal nicht. Wir machen doch noch eine Radiosendung zusammen, später.

The Daily Show with Jon Stewart is quite funny. I don’t get all the jokes, as I’m not that deep into American politics, but still: worth to watch.

Nowadays I tend to believe pregnancy is spread by airborne infection. Virtually everyone is on the brink of becoming a parent. Or already is one. Or has the second offspring on the way. Last Thursday, for example, we in a way re-enacted Peter’s Friends (a great movie by the way), and there it was the same. This wednesday I will take care of a friend’s baby while she is on a casting. So if all goes wrong, I could certainly make a living as a babysitter.

And even I, notorious though unintended single, managed to become a godfather. Which not only made my day, but more accurately made my week.

When I finally made the move to Berlin, I thought: Okay, getting paid jobs as an actor or voice-actor might take a while. So I said to myself: when I earn any money here this year, it’s wonderful. But I might even have to wait for two years.

Well. I did my first paid voice-acting in Berlin two days ago. YES.

A very nice bonus: my colleagues were very nice people, not like the egomaniac divas I met in two prior productions.

And now starts another week looking for casting directors and agents. And that indeed might take some time.
