Geee, yesterday I’ve had my first real blackout on stage.
There are always moments from time to time, when you or your partner do something differently and there are these special seconds when you think how to go on. But one usually finds a good way of going on.
Well.

Usually.

Yesterday I had just a little performance during an improvisation theatre.
The first appearance went very well.
And at the end I was supposed to sing the first strophe from a rew-written version of “Eternal Flame” by the Bangles. During the rehearsals (which started yesterday morning), I got stuck several times with one word.
And, what a surprise, when I went on stage to sing that first strophe and reached the line with that special word, my mind went blank.
Nothing.
Complete, utter nothingness.
So I la-la-la’d a bit, couldn’t help but laugh and looked to our musician (a great singer and keyboard-player) hoping she might take over - she had the lyrics right in front of her.
A little chaos on stage, and then she started with the second strophe, like she was supposed to. But my blackout seemed to have planted an irresistible urge to laugh in her brain. So after a few lines she couldn’t continue either.
At that moment, my other colleague started to finishing the show (thank you, sorry for this, we’ll be back etc.) and we sang the last strophe all together.
Man, I surely blushed.
And later that evening, I had sudden fits of laughter. Like now. That was so stupid and funny.

One of my favourites is still this one. Great music, too.
Unbeaten are, of course, the Warcraft III trailers.

For me, it usually works when I do sport. After a six-week-absence of exercises I jogged my usual track and felt so good afterwards.
A real bliss, especially after these emotional ups and downs during the last weeks.
And now I’m off to take a walk in a park (with some of my favourite trees).

Die Ohrbooten hör ich seit einem Jahr rauf und runter. Und gestern haben sie in der Zeche Carl gespielt.
Das Konzert war genial, bin schwer beeindruckt.
Manche Bands sind ja live nicht so gut wie auf Platte, aber die Ohrbooten waren der Hammer.
Sehr zu empfehlen. Ich hoffe, daß ich sie nochmal sehen kann…

Kleines Schmankerl am Rande: Bei der Vorband standen die Ohrbooten mitten im Publikum, genauer, direkt neben mir. Ich werd noch mal Groupie auf meine alten Tage. Harhar.
