English being THE lingua franca, many english words are absorbed into everday-german. Quite often, this is nonsensical. Just look at the ads or listen to managers talking!
And sometimes, there are such nice german alternatives.
Klapprechner
instead of laptop, for example.

Went to two parties yesterday, both located in my favourite party area in town: an old industrial complex. One would have been something for Squee, with loads of Metal, Mediaeval stuff (like In Extreme, Subway to Sally) and some Gothic (very few of that though). And the other was a mixture of five parties on three floors.
And aside from some moments of feeling lonely, I really enjoyed the evening. Danced a lot, met some buddies, and danced some more till 4:30 am. I even got pretzel sticks for free from the bartender when I had a sudden fit of hunger.

Farin Urlaub’s 1000 Jahre schlechten Sex.
As always: great lyrics
As always: THE man for love-sucks-songs. Just look at OK.
PS: He has a horrible homepage though.
PPS: My feelings are on quite a roller coaster ride. Phew.

can be found in tests on the internet. Maybe I should have paid more attention to this result. Just kidding. But, still. The result now seems to bring something foward…

What happens, when you fall asleep at 6 p.m.:
You are wide awake at 3 a.m.
Damn.

There are some good comments on this question: “If you had to, what’s the one game you’d regulate out of existence?” Especially Joe Blancato has a point.

Pretty much anything where play time takes precedence over actual human merit. Any game that rewards people who spend 90 hours a week in front of a computer is seriously a drain on society.

World of Warcraft. I’d like to be able to spend time with friends and family without having to work around their raid schedules.
Shannon Drake, “A Huge Disconnect”
World of Warcraft, because I’m sick of hearing about it. Just because they put a goofy, pop culture reference-filled candy shell around the classic “Grind Your Ass Off” MMOG doesn’t make it revolutionary. [Quote]
