Can anybody explain to me the meaning of “sleeper” in this Iggy Pop-Song:

My old theatre group is producing a very interesting project next year: A Soap Opera for the Theatre. After starting with one big show, monthly episodes will follow. And today, the art director asked me, whether I would like to take part.
It will not be paid very well, BUT I like the project so much, ever since I heard from it months ago. AND the directors (they will change over time) are very good and nice. AND the fellow actors are very nice, too. AND it will be shown in my favourite theatre, where I had my first performance 4 years ago.
A year ahead, but I’m already in love with that project.

steht auf so vielen Essens-Verpackungen und soll vermutlich auf sowas wie ökologisch korrektes oder Bio-Essen hindeuten.
Heißt natürlich nichts in der Art und ist eine der nervigsten Werbe-Verdummungen.
Ich meine, kontrollierter Anbau - hallo? Bestimmt nicht unkontrolliert.
Mir drängt sich folgendes Bild auf:
Ein Mann sitzt einem Ganz-Körper-Schutzanzug in einer Kabine neben den Anlagen und hakt auf seiner Liste die Punkte ab.
1. Kunstdünger ausgebracht - yep
2. Tagesration an Pestiziden gesprüht - auch
3. Gemüse radioaktiv bestrahlt für längere Haltbarkeit - klaro
etc.
Klingt doch super, kontrollierter Anbau!
Outsider mußte sich grad mal aufregen.

On every picture are afro-americans (is that the political correct term?), but hardly any white people. Once or twice, I thought “Oh, a flood in Africa as well”, before I read the text under the picture.
Now I’ve just read this article and this one.
So my impression does not seem to be that wrong.
