Back to Mantis

17 04 2005

I’m thinking about restarting my Kung-Fu training.
Because I hardly manage to do Aikido once a week, progress is way too slow there. The movements are so complex, you need at least two trainings per week regularly, which I won’t get.
And it would be nice to relearn all the nice Kung Fu forms and weapons…
Well, I’ll probably give it a try during the next weeks.

WANTED: Programm for CD Labels

14 04 2005

I’m planning to get a programm for printing labels for my cd’s.
I don’t need fancy stuff, it’s just for my voice-samples.
But, alas, no idea, which one to buy.
So, any suggestions, experiences etc. are most welcome.

Bett-Lektüre

14 04 2005

Johnny Cash - American IV: The Man Comes Around

12 04 2005

I bought this album last week, mainly because “Hurt” is such a great song.
And now some of the songs are stuck in my head, esp. “Hung my Head” which almost makes me cry every time I hear it and is my favourite right before “Hurt”.
PS: I’m really into short blog-entries. But there is a time for longer stories and sometimes there is not.

Comic Development

11 04 2005

Just showed J. some of the old QC-Comics. Boy, the drawings surely got a lot better during the last months…

Hormonal spring

7 04 2005

Spring’s the time when I fall in love about three times a day.
And it started today. I wonder, what will happen during the next weeks with my body chemicals running wild…

My second performance

4 04 2005

with the improvisation-group I joined last autumn was yesterday. Performance was due at 8 p.m., so we set the meeting for 7 p.m. As usual, I was the only one on time, the rest came at around 7:30…
The gig was great fun. We played “the world’s most boring scene”, for example. ;-)
A director I work with right now was there too and liked it a lot, which was especially good news. And then I could not sleep because of too much adrenaline in my blood.
But that’s not all too bad, is it?

Lunch-Break

3 04 2005

is almost over. So I’m off to the rehearsals for “Die Muse mit der spitzen Zunge”. Much fun, but as work-weekend always are, tiring.
Try-out is in less than three weeks, premiere is a week later. We had our second walk-through (I wonder what the proper translation for “Durchlauf” is…) today and it worked already pretty well. And the songs are alternately very nice or very funny.
