The language of walls

Just returned from climbing. We also tried it blindfolded which is so much easier. Your body relaxes and hands and feet find the next footing without the head interfering too much.
Great fun, I will definetly do that in the summer. It’s supposed to be so much more fun with fresh air, the sky and no given route.

yep, but inside a hall, so rock climbing did not sound that appropriate.

i used to love to rock climb. i can’t do it anymore ’cause of freaked out shoulders, but it was *so* much fun.

did your shoulders freak out due to rock climbing?
i have the feeling it is a rather healthy sport. except the falling down and crashing against the wall part.

a friend told me, you make the fastest advances in the first weeks, which suits me fine.

where did you climb? any holiday recommendations?

i have acute tendonitis in my shoulders due to a wide variety of reasons. i haven’t climbed in years, so i don’t imagine that was it.

i was a free climber (also know as ‘one of those crazy idiots’) so i never really crashed against the wall - unless i hit it on the way to the ground ;]

as far as climbing suggestions go… it’s been so long ago… i spent alot of time in southwest utah there are some fine conglomeratic cliffs down near the little town parawon, but they’re mostly in national parks and what not. they’d probably arrest you for climbing them nowadays.

And once again, the internet washes away long distances. ;-) I stick to European cliffs then, especially when they’re so much closer. But thanks anyway.

i would guess it doesn’t matter where the rockface is: once you’re on it, you’re in the same place all climber are when they climb.

have fun. be safe. don’t do no stoopid stuff.
