The last 5 or 6 years, I spent X-mas with good friends. We used to have a relaxed dinner, got each other nice presents and it was just wonderful.
Now I’m spending the days with my family.
And let’s put it like this: Next year I will do it with friends again. Come to think of it, I’ve never been in Berlin at that time of the year. *hint-hint*

Had two performances of “Europia” yesterday. We have two directors, and one told me right before the first performance: “Okay, when we do the slow-motion part, you will grab your crotch like Michael Jackson.” So I did, causing strong reactions in the audience. In the second performance, I was just about to go for the grab, when the light turned off (being 25 actors in 25 pictures, we don’t have light all the time).
And after the performance the second director came to me and told me: “I turned off the light, when I saw your hand going down. It destroys the scene.”
Hmhm. Alright.
I told him, I got it from the first director, so he rushed off.
Probably to have an art-argument.

Tonight were two premieres, on Sunday’s the next.
One was on a 14-metres-high scaffolding. It’s awfully hard to fill such huge a space with your presence. Thus it’s very exhausting, although the play takes less than 30 minutes. My favourite part (I play a sweeper) is an (hopefully) erotic and intimate tango-dance with a besen.
The second premiere was from my theatre class (a sometimes chaotic but very nice group of 13 youngsters).
“absolut nichts ist in Ordnung” was my first work as a director (together with my colleague), so I was pretty nervous. But it was almost fully booked, and all went well.
It’s quite interesting, how scenes may change in the process of rehearsals and performances. Two girls sitting on a sofa make the interludes between the mono- and dialogues. In rehearsals, they were hilarious, but in the performance, their part got a whole new meaning…
Not as expected, but still very good.
And on Sunday, I will have my first performance with the improvisation theatre-group I joined some weeks ago.
