Went out with the same friend and two other guys.
Arrived at the bar at 22:25.
The menu said: meals and salad from 17:00 till 22:30.
So we said to ourselves: Good timing, as we all were pretty hungry after the rehearsal.
And then we rememberd the movie “Falling Down” with Michael Douglas. (Remember the fast food store and the breakfast lady?).
And THEN we wondered, why the waitress would not come to our table, although she had nothing to do.
When she finally came, we wanted two salads. So, guess what:
“I’m sorry, it’s already past 22:30.”
Silence.
Looks.
More silence.
But no shotgun being pulled out…
We did not get the salad, the waitress did not get a tip.
And the word “Service-Wüste Deutschland” suddenly comes back to my mind.
