As announced earlier, my friend and colleague U. and I are going to perform a new play.
We’ve found a good director (the one from the tour), the city’s cultural department is supporting us financially and three performances for July are already confirmed (we hopefully get at least three more).
The play is great fun, there is a puppet-story inside the story (my puppet-part is a pirate-rat).
And I have to repeat myself: everything is very exciting: Lots of phone-calls to make, rehearsals to do, text to learn, advertising to organize etc.
My head’s buzzing, but I like it.

Just two days left from our theatre-tour, but I’m already spent.
Except Sunday one performance each day, than of to the next town. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.
But we had great fun.
After our first performance (in front of several school classes) we gave lots of autographs to the kids. What a strange experience… most of them do net even look at you, they just watch the pen marking their paper and then they are gone to the next actor.
A good reason not to become too famous.
Some of the highlights:
- a beautiful scenery (Rheinland-Pfalz in Germany)
- went to the swimming pool with three other guys (two of them were naked). We had the pool just for us, locked the doors and started a fierce battle with mini-bodyboards. There was a little interruption, when a complete school class, which was staying in the same hostel, stood outside the pool, pressing their noses against the big panorama-window-wall. So B. & T. used the boards as a sight-protection and jumped into the shower-room until a teacher shooed the kids away. The battle was over, when three of us hit the fourth almost simultaneously (leg, arm and where-it-really-hurts), so he went straight down. Great fun. Felt like puberty (the good part of it)
The tour definetely makes me feel much younger. The ensemble’s average age is 21, and there is a trio (the one from the fun-fight) which is just indescribable.
Just imagine someone being very excited and happy just to show is naked buttock. Or walking around with his scrotum hanging out of his trousers. And they do it in an almost innocent way. They are really strange. They somehow represent a type of man I thought was just existing as a cliché. What an experience to see originals like that.
The funny thing: when you hear about it, it just sounds gross. But they ARE funny.

Leilied bei Ungewinster
Tschill tschill mein möhliges Krieb
Draußen schnirrt höhliges Stieb
Draußen schwirrt kreinige Trucht
Du aber bist meine Jucht
Du aber bist was mich tröhlt
