Unwilling Masochism
14 02 2004Great idea: to mix up the moistening solution with the cleaning solution of my contact lenses. OUCH!!! That caused one hell of a burning, dry and red eay. Or, as the doctor put it: a heavy cauterization. (that expression scared me)
Lucky me, the two types of eyedrops the doctor prescribed worked very well (every 30 minutes, starting one hour after the incident). So no worries. Sight and world will be back to normal very soon. In an eye-blink.

Yeargh. That sounds nasty. Glad that my lens solution is an all in one job - you can spray it in your eyes, clean your lenses with it, soak it, and its non-harmful in all cases. I can’t imagine the trouble I would get into otherwise.
Lucky you. You probably have soft lenses…
And I wouldn’t want to imagine what would happen if I took drugs and tried to get rid of my lenses then…
I have hard ones, and with these you have to have a special cleaning solution. If I am not mistaken.
But during my long lens-career I had some accidents. The worst happened when I was completely overtired. Interesting, what a severe lack of sleep can do to you everyday-routines. You’d never guess.
