Ice-T to produce Hasselhoff rap album
Ice-T is to produce David Hasselhoff’s first hip-hop album.
The pair are neighbours in Los Angeles and are said to have struck up a close friendship.
Hasselhoff has had some success as a singer, releasing seven albums. He’s also said to be very popular in Germany.
Ice-T, who was one of the first real hip-hop stars in the late 1980s, said: “The man is a legend. And we are going to show a whole new side of him.”
The rapper is said to be convinced that the 51-year-old for Knight Rider and Baywatch actor can take on the biggest names in rap, reports The Sun.
Ice-T added: “He’s gonna come out as Hassle The Hoff - I promise you. The Hoff will surprise people with his rap skills and humour.”
…the man who recommended The Alpha Conspiracy to us. As I listened to the album for the first few times I thought it soso, but today I let iTunes do the shuffle and began to wonder where all the cool sound is coming from. If you like electronica go directly to this site and download their album “Cipher”. It’s legal! :-)
I’m not getting anything done here. Sheesh. I should know better…
Anyways: Yesterday Squee and me went to the Blackford-2-Fundraising-Komparsen-Casting-Soli-Kostümparty were Codex Siam made a appearance. I’m not to much into concerts because most often the sound isn’t to good and only makes sense if you already know the songs. It was that way there so I just got an idea of their music which is something like metal with strings, something like Subway to Sally but harder. I think I might like it, I have to ask Squee if she has a CD.
They played a cover of “Mad World” which is also (originally?) from Tears for Fears in the movie Donnie Darko (nice page). A really cool song. Have to get that - both versions. Incidentally the played the Tears for Fears version in the radio this morning…
We also met DaiTsi there - *censored* - and I was really surprised: He is one of the few people I know who looks more grown up without a beard.
In related news: I shaved my beard for being the Elven prince at “preis der Macht 2″ and have to admit that I look pretty shitty without it. So far no one disagreed with that opinion so I hope it grows back fast.

…that I’m either even more crazy than I suspected or that alpha conspiracy really did a hell of a ear candy.
Visit their website choose the second tune (little flash player at the bottom) and stop the time until it gets on your nerves.
It’s running for approx an hour here…
Maybe I should get treatment.
Forget the industry shills’ spin - the numbers prove that, for Australia, CD-Rs and Mp3s are not hurting record sales in the slightest - based on a recent Australian Record Industry Association survey. It would be interesting to see what the numbers for the US or UK say.”
Also I heard that the production costs of a vinyl Lp were about 3,5 €, while that of a CD is about 1 €. In stores you have to pay ~25 € for a CD while Lps for a long time where available for 10 bucks.
I wonder why the popindustry complains that no one wants to buy their warez. I think it’s their fault.
As before I’ll spoilertag my opinion to not spoil/build up someones expectations.
You’re really sure you want to read this? If you’ve already seen the movie or are really really sure: Go ahead.
[Spoilers] Nice Soundtrack. [/Spoilers]
golem.de reports that if you own an ipod and use it with Musicmatch on a windows-machine and then install iTunes strange things happen: After the installation Musicmatch is unable to communicate or even find the ipod anymore.
Of course this might be a coincidence or bad programming on the apple side, but since Musicmatch also introduced a pay-per-download service it seems not to farfetched to suspect that apple simply took the opportunity to knock out an opponent.
The funny thing is: Apple and Musicmatch cooperated before, because Apple wanted to have a software that was able to work with ipod and thus not loose potential customers that want to buy an ipod but have only winboxes.
According to golem.de Musicmatch now sends an email to their customers in which MM explains in great depth how to again enable the disabled features.

“parts in the post” gets better everytime I listen to it. Especially part two. Highly recommended! Favourite song at the moment: Remixed versions of “Wholesome” [org. by Nicolette] and “Street preacher” [org. by Jung Collective].
Today I woke up and had the lines for a song in my head. I thought a little longer and got a simple melody for it. Now a friend who really can sing is helping out with the refrain. And if I’m lucky she’ll sing it when I meet her again…
praise of the bogeyman
who makes you dream in the middle of the night?
who makes you jump and starts a sudden fight?
who makes you stay awake
until the sun comes up?
it’s all the bogeyman
who doesn’t take a nap!
it’s all the bogeyman
he is everywhere
and just if you need him most
he doesn’t seem to care
who is the healer which cures of all ails?
who is the wise man which helps you if you fail?
who gives you wine
and leafs of golden bread?
it’s all the bogeyman
without him you were dead.
it’s all the bogeyman
he is everywhere
and just if you need him most
he doesn’t seem to care
who whispers visions right into your head?
who summons demons and rotten rising dead?
if you’re in trouble
and without any clue
watch out! cause the bogeyman
is right there behind you.
it’s all the bogeyman
he is everywhere
and just if you need him most
he doesn’t seem to care
