When will politicians get that computer games are not responsible for anything? Everytime some fucktard think it’s okay to blow his head away after shooting innocent people some miserable old guy thinks he can make up for his and societies failures by yelling “We must stop killergames! They are evil!”.
I’m now bound to remind you that only a few centuries ago books were treated the same way. And now they seem the pinnacle of entertainment that is deemed appropriate and educating. WAKE Up ALREADY AND CHOOSE SOMETHING NEW TO BICKER AT! HOW ABOUT VOTING MACHINES, RFID-pASSpORTS AND COMpANIES THAT GET RICH WHILE KEEpING WHOLE COUNTRIES pOOR?
Just an idea: Jeck
pS: Sorry. Just had to do that. It will not happen again… soon. If someone is looking for me: I’m going to stab some orcs retaining my sanity nonetheless.
..or maybe prohibit specifically weapons?
It´s always the same! :-(
#1: Hehe, that would be to obvious. The easy way is not for every one…

And who would have thought that: There are even gamers woh are able to write a really sensible post in a forum. =)
I always have to think, fellow pupils should say things to the press like this: “He never wore gloves in winter-time. And he had cheese on every sandwich.”
Related headlines:
“Gloves help to protect our children, politicians say. Conservative party asks for Cheese-Ban at schools”
PS: On monday, I performed a play at a school in Emsdetten. Not that school. But still.
fucktard.
you know…
i do believe…
your post the first time i’ve ever seen that word in type.
yep – pretty sure, in fact.
oh!
nice rant, too.
#5: Good one. =)
#6: Since I’m no native speaker my choice of words my not be that natural. But I felt like it fitted the situation best.
And: Thank you!
what is “fucktard” in your native language?
might prove useful some day if i ever actually leave my little town…
@Arbus:
I think “Arschgesicht” or “Blödfresse” would fit. But for sure that’s nothing to say to somebody.
Hm, “zurückgebliebener Spinner” would be “retarded fucktard” then, I guess. I should stop thinking about it now..
According to dict.cc tard means “Vollidiot” so fucktard would be a comparative like “Drecksvollidiot”. Personally I think “Arschgeige” (assfiddle) would be a good translation.
That’s some “Völkerverständigung” we’re doing here. =)
ASSFIDDLE?
shit, boy, “assfidle” is almost better than “fucktard.”
for what it’s worth, to me:
fucktard sounds like a name for sombody that’s stupid, ignorant, or both.
see… we had (have?) a term “mentally retarded” for folks who have less than standard I.Q.s and who have trouble learning because of it.
as children, we used the word “retard” to mean anybody who exhibited any stupidity in any activity, except we emphasised the “re” part of the the word and said it in a voice that sounded stupid. it was politically incorrect to use the word like that even ‘way back then.
like “arbus is a “REE-tard.”
like “arbus is a fucktard.”
i suppose that’s why fucktard appeals to my ears.
now…
assfiddle sounds like a person who wastes your time with trivial opinions. it sounds more dismissive that anything else.
as in “ignore arbus – he’s nothing but an assfiddle.”
or course, if you have an assfiddle, you gots to have an assfiddler, too.
sometimes i am jealous of you folks with real languages.
you can sit and think and compare and combine.
come up with brand new words…
here, most assfiddles can’t get “to, too, and two” the right way round.
not to mention the simple “whose and who’s.”
don’t even get me started on “there, their, and they’re.”
i gots me two brand new names for idjits…
fucktards *and* assfiddles
all in 2 days.
combine them with “asshat”
(that i leanred here in g-blog-land, too),
and i’d say i’m just about at the top of the heap, culturally-speaking.
i wish i could return the favor – but i just steal words.
question: do you have a descriptive phrase like “cluster-fuck?”
it usually means a series of mistakes, all of which add up to something larger.
like “this project’s been a cluster-fuck from the very start.”
Cannot think of anythink like that. “In dem Projekt war von Anfang an der Wurm drin.” comes close. Literal translation: In this project there was a worm inside from the very start.
But that does not include mistakes adding up, just a series of them.
=)
it’s a shame you have to say so many words to get the same effect…
i think i’ll stick with cluster-fuck.
@Arbus:
I never heard cluster-fuck before, I will keep it in mind. *har*
I would have translated it with: “eine Kette von Pannen” which means something like “a chain of fuck-ups”.
spreading cusswords around the world.
i have found my niche!
no wonder the boss won’t let me talk to any of the analysts from China!
