What makes you say that?
If I had told about the journey of a man deep down into the cellars of doom only to find that he is not ready yet for this journey and how the same man went to consult a witch which made him dream of his dreammaster who in turn will guide the man but has yet to be dreamt well enough to be of real help. And if I would have wrote too that the man smiled a sad smile when he realized how long his journey would be and how uncertain the outcome is, that would be [Writing & Poetry].

Maybe two lines & a icon even qualify as a haiku? ;)
Being somewhat of a traditionalist, I have to say: not a haiku.
But compared to other contemporary poetry, calyban is right:

I just arrived home
and now it would appear that
nobody is here
Does that qualify? And what says the HaiKu-traditionalist?
