Just came back from the LAN-party and am quite exhausted. Just a quick one: If you like Ego-Shooters a lá Half-Life, Soldiers of Fortune or Halo have a look at Far Cry. I played the demo. It rocked so hard that I think I’ll purchase the game as soon as it’s released*. Even more fun than Max payne (no Bullett-Time tho) and excellent map design.

Technical companion meaning new hardware, I’d guess the problem is the money to buy a new pc (or just a new motherboard, processor, harddisk, ram)
I’m all alone with my babie, my good old 486… (well not that old, but still way too slow for new games)
I know how you’re feeling Outsider! It’s not long ago I just had such a crippled thing too. Then I got Jecks old one. Although he swear at it when he have to use it here, for me it’s almost like paradise.
Haha. And this Baby is twice as fast as Outsiders, even tho he got besser gfx. Maybe you two should team up and create one game/one office PC?

It doesn’t work that way anyways. I exchange parts of my PC (next one will be a new gfx card) and only over the years there’ll be a complete PC from leftover parts. Also I planned to give the spare parts to Squee so her PC upgrades slowly too…

There were lots of things sounding very good: creating a super-something (I bet we could gain worldpower) but otherwise upgrading my own…uh…Jecks pc sounds even better(thanx Jeck!).
And for you, Outsider it’s an incentive getting rich&famous in Berlin. That sounds great too.
