DaiTsi rebuked me via Squee because I mentioned that he’s part of a band and also wrote which instrument he plays. What annoys him is that now anybody may find out who he really is, cause there are pictures of him at the webpage of the band. Hearing this, my first thoughts were that I’m not responsible for keeping anyone else’s anonymity. After all: If you don’t want to be identified you shouldn’t post pix of yourself online. Although you should write your blog where no one knows you or at least in a way that no one recognizes you.
On second thought I’m not really sure. Was I too careless? What do the other g-bloggers think about these issue? Do you worry about giving away someones identity or ask permission to post pictures of - let’s say - the last plough?

…the man who recommended The Alpha Conspiracy to us. As I listened to the album for the first few times I thought it soso, but today I let iTunes do the shuffle and began to wonder where all the cool sound is coming from. If you like electronica go directly to this site and download their album “Cipher”. It’s legal! :-)
…what I said earlier about UT2004. A played the demo the better part (of my free time) of the week. I still like Far Cry better, but there’s only so much you can explore on a single map. pity.

I’m not getting anything done here. Sheesh. I should know better…
Anyways: Yesterday Squee and me went to the Blackford-2-Fundraising-Komparsen-Casting-Soli-Kostümparty were Codex Siam made a appearance. I’m not to much into concerts because most often the sound isn’t to good and only makes sense if you already know the songs. It was that way there so I just got an idea of their music which is something like metal with strings, something like Subway to Sally but harder. I think I might like it, I have to ask Squee if she has a CD.
They played a cover of “Mad World” which is also (originally?) from Tears for Fears in the movie Donnie Darko (nice page). A really cool song. Have to get that - both versions. Incidentally the played the Tears for Fears version in the radio this morning…
We also met DaiTsi there - *censored* - and I was really surprised: He is one of the few people I know who looks more grown up without a beard.
In related news: I shaved my beard for being the Elven prince at “preis der Macht 2″ and have to admit that I look pretty shitty without it. So far no one disagreed with that opinion so I hope it grows back fast.

Daily c&p from boingboing.net
[Quote] SimCity for Sims, recursion will eat itself
By Cory DoctorowA third-party Sims developer has produced a version of SimCity for use in the Sims, so that your simulated people can simulate being the mayor of a simulated city. No word yet on whether we are all just sims in a great simulation in the sky, executing on a celestial computer the size of the universe, with “God” simply a gamer playing an unimaginably scaled up version of the Sims. But I have my suspicions. Have a melon. Lag. Dude.
“The Sims must routinely refurbish the buildings to keep the citizens happy, or just let them deteriorate and force the citizens to become unhappy and move away,” says Alvey. “Happy citizens go to work and pay taxes, which the Sims collect as revenue. The higher the profits, the more attractive the city becomes, so more citizens will move into it.”

My website has been hacked, but only the galleries are defaced.
Does anyone know of a security hole in photoshop (6.0) Web Galleries? What do I have to do to protect myself against such things? Or is it my host’s fault?
Update: Uploaded the old pages again, safed the defaced page and changed the above link accordingly.
