Yesterday I visited my comics store and left 50 bucks there. Half of the money was spend on pt. 3 and 4 of The Technofathers. I was a little disappointed though. The drawings and the colors are really cool, but the story lacks originality. The change between the the story lines everytime is something along “In the meantime my mother had to endure a fate much worser…”, “I had a hard time too…” Maybe Jodorowsky grows old and is burnt out…
While in the shop I had to decide wether to buy the second book of the Constantine-Series (spinoff of the “Books of Magic”) or the first book of the “Lucifer” - Series (from The Sandman). I chose Lucifer and what a pleasant suprise that was! The story is good, the artists are very good and the main character simply rocks. I really enjoyed this book and think it’s in every way as cool as I thought John Constantine would be. Can’t wait to read the second part. …but must resist. must not spend so much money on comix.

Well. I also got the Sam & Twich issues ( both series ) which are - as expected - good. And I got the Ghost in the Shell 2 issue 7/11, but really: I collect this series only for fandom purposes. I think Shirow got stuck in a virtual reality somewhen in the last few years. Half of the panels doesn’t make sense cause there full of pseudo tech speak - in a way it’s like the Ghost in the Shell - Movie: While full of nice artwork the story is incomplete and missing background information.

And last but not least [ well, that's not really true, that character sure is the least :-) ]: Johnny the Homicidal Maniac is being reprinted. Since I gave my collected issue away as a present, I decided to get the issues from this reprint…
And now I’m off to drool over my comic collection some more. Why, of course they are neatly tucked away in palstic sheets. No, you can’t touch them. Go away! GO AWAY!
