This may not come as a surprise…

..but the no. 1 criteria for getting a job is the one I always suspected.
Tired of sitting at endless red lights? Frustrated by lights that turn from green to red too quickly, trapping you in traffic?

Now anyone can breeze through congested intersections just like the police, thanks to a $300 dashboard device that changes traffic lights from red to green, making nasty commutes a thing of the past and leaving other drivers open-mouthed at your ability to manipulate traffic.
Kill Bill

Monday I saw Kill Bill for the 2nd time. Because I knew what the movie was about my expectations weren’t as high. Before I thought it would be a Kung Fu movie and was a little disappointed, but the second time I could enjoy it for what it is. I also spotted two continuity mistakes/eastereggs.

[Spoilers] While the Bride and Gogo fight, Gogo gets hit in the foot with a chair leg ( or rather with the nail that’s inside it. Ouch!). When the fight is over there’s a shot from above where one can see Gogo from above. Her shoe is not a white shoe with blood, but rather a simple Nike-shoe which is red.

When the Bride writes the death list the numbers are written in black and the names and aliases are written in red. After she killed O-Ren Ishii (marvellous scene! great setting, very cool fight. And her henchman Johnny Mo has the coolest sword(s) ever.) she strikes through a black written name.

Also my brother told me he saw that while O-Ren Ishii unsheathed her sword the grip of her hand changes while the camera changes between wide angle/close up/wide angle. I haven’t seen it myself though. [/Spoilers]

Anyone else has seen anything?

Another reason why the NRA sucks…

[via telepolis]

…they have a ‘blacklist‘ where they name organizations that
have lent monetary, grassroots or some other type of direct support to anti-gun organizations
and individuals that
have lent their name and notoriety to anti-gun causes, speaking out for anti-gun legislation and providing a voice for anti-gun organizations.
Not forget the section where they mention journalists that
actively editorialize in favor of gun control laws.
Luckily it seems to be backfiring, cause now everybody against the NRA asks them to get on the list. There’s also a site where you can sign in to join the blacklist.

Argh!

I didn’t find my car keys today. I had to take the bike and thus came to late to work. And: If they’re vanished I lost my last car keys.

If I ever get to lay my hands on the keyhidin-Faerie I’ll make sure she gets a good smashin’.

Back to the roots…

We played “Das schwarze Auge” yesterday. It wasn’t not as much fun as I hoped.

Either I was not in the right mood and too tired because I took to many shifts* in a row lately…

…or…

…that was just a different approach to roleplaying. I hoped for a pratchettesque and fast adventure, were we would be the heros. What we got was an adventure for beginners, with nearly no plot at all and all kinds off stunts that happened to your characters now and again.**

Also we had a beginner with us who hadn’t played pen & paper before and a gamemaster always told her, what her character thinks. I think that really is a bad idea, cause that’s not what roleplaying is about. Also we were supposed to play some archetype from that world and I found it hard to do that, cause I don’t really know it.

So. That’s what you get for not keeping your expectations low. Not really anyones fault, but annoying nevertheless.

* 4 Nights followed by 4 Earlies. Maybe wasn’t such a good idea…
** Guess what, my characters purse was stolen the moment we reached the town. Still I managed to get my character all excited about this. *tss*

personal Submarine
cnn.com: Forget the yacht, mansion and private jet. This is Gemini, the family submarine described by inventor Robert Leeds as the world’s first underwater sports car. It is the must-have toy for the person who has everything - including $845,000 to spare.
I suspected as much…

…but now it’s official: I’m addicted to comics. Today - while looking for some other things in the comic store - I spontaneously decided to buy the 2nd book of “Lucifer”.

And the 3rd.

And the fourth.

And some new comic I never read before, but which I thought thought looked to good to leave it…

I do hope that the tax return I finished today brings some money back.

=)

goes reading…

pleasant Surprise

It’s -4 °C outside and early in the morning and I really needed to get to work.

Nevertheless my dear and loyal Sir Lancelot* started with no problems at all.

Need to blog more often…

…got tons of photos and meant to write a lot more than I recently did. There are also some things waiting for the recipe exchange. But I didn’t do it.

Lazy bastard.

*Grmpf*
