The End

So the last few weeks I neglected my blog pretty bad. And now all I want to do is rant about the last Buffy episode which was aired yesterday here in Germany.

[Spoilers] For Christs sake, you gotta be kidding me. We seriously should believe that it takes the end of the world and the Urböse to let somebody figure out that all they have to do is drill a friggin hole into the ground? And who dies? Buffy? Willow? Far from it: Spike and Anja. Why that? And what about all those apocalyptic sex and Good Bye scenes? What were they about? AAAAAAAAARRGGHHH.

My ending would have looked something like this: While Willow is performing her ritual ( which takes her more then 4 candles and a fire brigade axe ) Buffy enters Hell. Buffy has cool Kung Fu Fight with the evilknevil and kills it finally. Then realizes, that the army of hell is still there. Then realizes that the amulet was meant for her. Meanwhile Willow gets consumed by magic and turns into badgirl again. New Girlfriend sheds a tear and then pulls the trigger. Willow explodes.

Meanwhile Buffy has figured out the inscription on the amulet. “Faith shall slay she who is dead and give herself do the beginning of a new day.” So Faith uses the Axe to behead Buffy, bathes the amulet in her blood and gives it to Dawn. Dawn transforms into a superholy being which destroys all the darklings, then sends Buffy to heaven. Wood really is hurt to much and dies in the bus. Faith can’t stand and collapses in tears. Dawn and the stupid boy make silly comment. Spike and Anja ride away on a Harley making another silly comment. End.

Okay. I never really was the big Buffy Fan but I thought the ending of such a successful TV show could be special. Wrong. Even “Beowulf” was better… [/Spoilers]
edited for typo.

Anonymous Blogging

Thanks to terpsichoros I could create a LiveJournal account. There I shall write about the more sinister and private parts of my life. That’s why I won’t link it from here because I don’t want people I know to know what I’m writing there.

To bad, would’ve been another cash rain in my blogshares account. =)

Breakout

After defending my castle [via terpsichoros] I checked out the site of the guys [XgenStudios] who coded the game. And there I found it: A playable Breakout/Arkanoid-Clone!

w00t!

I played this game on the c64 and had searched for a playable alternative since then. Check out their site and select “Smashing” in the left menu. physics are not perfect but acceptable. Gameplay is nearly like the real thing with extras and stuff…

For all impatient people and my convenience:

LiveJournal-Code anyone?

Dear community,

I’d like to try the LiveJournal but since none of my friends is into the blog thing I have a little problem there.

[Quote] How do I get an account creation code?

# From an existing LiveJournal user — many people hear about LiveJournal because their friends are using the site. If this is the case for you, go ask one of your friends for a code. They can get one here. This will get you a basic free account. [Quote]

I read here that a lot of g-bloggers blog there to. So would one of you mind giving me a creation code?

Thx in advance,

Hit by Murphy’s Law

I have a Western Digital 600 AB harddrive which until today served it’s purpose very well as my internal systemdrive.

I have an external Firewire case for IDE harddrives which until today served it’s purpose very well with housing an Seagate ST380021A. As I tested it with two other discs it worked very well.

As I got my new comp last week [Shuttle SN45G] I had the craziest idea: Why not change the drives and use the slightly bigger and better ST inside and the old WD as backup in the Firewire case?

I saw these new combination working one time: After installing the USB 2.0 drivers. After that Xp stolidly ignored the WD drive. I tried everything: jumper settings, new partitions, testing with other drives, searching the internet for clues and setting up a whole new Xp installation.

And what came of it?

Nothing…

I hate Murphy’s Law.

My brother wants a new drive anyway.

*Grrr*
