My producer promised to make my life a living hell and blogshare.com seems to be down. Why of all weeks now?
Right after my shift I had to attend our bimonthly scheduling meeting. Only half the people were there, so everybody had to shout for shifts for at least another person but against all odds everything went very smooth. Surprise, surprise: A is coming around so I don’t have to wait until thursday! Yeeha!
Now for bizness news: With quintupling my starting capital at blogshares I consider the first market day of trading succesfully ended. Long term goal: LBO my own blog. Anybody has to give away 500.000?
Also thinking about bringing my iBook diary online, which describes my odyssey through the maze of the apple hotline. Anybody knows a blog hoster which allows you to redate your entries?
A 5-day-block of morning shifts at DW has started. By thursday I’m going to hate english news shows.
While for business it is an adventure to bring itself to the stock markets, I was surprised to find out that my blog is traded at blogshares. So I’ll buy a few of my own shares just to make sure I stay in control. :-)
Edited because I noticed that I get 1.000 shares if I display the image.

Because A’s Computer is just a pentium S 200 and we wanted to play something together, I installed Age of Empires II again. Still a good game. I love them teutons. Mighty castles, paladins and cannons.
:-)
Finally the pictures from the last LARp are online.

The guy with the red hood was me. I challenged every armed character I could and soon were called “The Duelist”. Finally some fighting on a LARp that was fun!
In other news: Yesterday we met online to discuss our next trip with the Ka-Djin. After much quarelling we decided, that we’ll attend the “Bloody Marriage”…
Just read the first book of the collected “Hellblazer”-series from Jamie Delano. John Constantine is a character which I first noticed in the “Books of Magic” by Neil Gamain. There he seemed to be a really cool character, which is not really a magician but is at the right places at the right time and has an inredible amount of (tough) luck. So I hoped “Hellblazer” would be something like Raymond-Chandler-does-a-comic. Instead I got to read some short stories which reminded of the german B-Comics like “Gespenstergeschichten”. probably I’ll buy the next book as well, but if doesn’t get any better…
Another disappointment was “Ghost in the Shell 2″. It’s not a story - it’s like Start Trek-Techtalk 24/7. pick a random page and you’ll get something like this: “Enemy has infiltrated Lebris’ level 5 and begun to surpress peripheral relays!”. After reading the first three issues I feel like I missed to read the manual of a very complicated network defense system. The little helpers are nice though - imagine the Fujikomas from the first part, as digital online-leprechauns…
Just came back from the movies where I saw “Hero”. [Spoilers] I was a little bit disappointed, but it’s still a good movie. Instead of seeing the good and spectacular martial-arts-action I expected, I got an odd mixture of 2001, Tiger and Dragon and The usual suspects. Most of the time I felt like watching very good art photos in a darkened gallery. The movie is worth seeing for the rich outfits and settings, the wonderful fighting scene between Donnie Yen and Jet Li and the overwhelming pictures. If you want to see action: Don’t go there. If you want to see asian aesthetica at its best: Go see it. [/Spoilers]
Seems to be all the rage here at g-blog, so I had to do it too…

To the extent that you are even implicitly aware of your hemispheric dominance and sensory style, you will feel most comfortable in those arenas which emphasize verbal skills and logic.
