Just came back from HSD. Left my iBook there. By friday the money should be on my bank account.

What next? Travelmate 803LCi or JVC Mp-Xp7210 and an upgrade for my desktop? I love this kind of choice… :-)

They really thought of everything…

from USSRAs “Abbreviated Version of the Rules of World Squash”:

“If a player vomits on court, the opponent wins the match.”

Finally!

They just called to tell me I’ll get my money back. Thank god, this whole mess is over…

Kill Bill

Seems like Quentin Tarantino entered the world of Kung Fu. Check out the trailer at www.kill-bill.com, it’s awesome!

apple madness

HSD just called to say they’d exchange my broken g3/800 for an g3/900. I was like: Which part of I WANT MY MONEY BACK didn’t you understand? They were like: Uh, oh, gotta ask our boss about it. We will call you back tomorrow.

Just got the redundancy letter from DW. Didn’t came as a surprise and I still get to work there till 02/2004, but it feels bad anyways…

Anger driven Web-Design

After having (not) repaired my iBook for several times and quarreling with Apple’s Support Hotline for nearly six months, I finally gave anger form and brought “Fallobst” ( Windfall ) online, which is mostly a diary of all the things that happened. Because the diary wasn’t intended for the greater online community in the first place and I’m to busy to translate it right now it’s all in german. If you happen to understand this, drop by and tell me what you think of it.

virtually becoming rich

Just noticed that FireflyFans.net is traded at blogshares.com. I managed to snatch a great bulk of the shares and are hoping that all the fans that seem to be on the net are playing at blogshares too. There’s already one buy order, but I ain’t selling that cheap!

But maybe give a gift of one share just to tease? Nah, that would be cruel wouldn’t it?

recapping the weekend

The weekend started after my last morning shift at DW. After a little laziness I beat up my weaker self and went to the karate lesson where I was instantly rewarded with the toughest fitness training I had so far. After a quazillion of mawashi and other what-not-giris (kicks) I barely felt my legs but was full of that self-contented feeling that comes with well-done-workout. After that I met with G, N and M in the “Aufsturz” were I drank something called “Two Dogs” which despite the name tasted not like animal hair, but was really refreshing. Actually that beer is made of lemons which makes it a perfect summer drink.

After that we saw “The Boondock Saints” but - due to the audience - had to cope with the german version which is called “Der blutige pfad Gottes”, which retranslated means “God’s Bloody path” - what a silly name. I saw the movie for the 3rd time and it’s still very good. Willem Dafoe as homophobic homosexual FBI-Agent is hilarious. [Read this for more about the movie.]

Saturday morning started with another karate lesson, which was quite interesting because the sempai told us to think of some practical applications for the blocks we’ve learned so far. We thought of some things which weren’t half bad. After that I took the Kobudo lesson as well were I learned my first Bo-kata. Well, at least theoretically it still doesn’t look as fluent as it should. Train, train, train.

I had lunch and a game of chess ( I won! yeepie! ) with J and we talked about the topic, which had the same outcome as everytime: It doesn’t seem to get better but we’ll try cheerfully anyways. The evening took me to Fete de la Musique stage at the Oranienplatz were I saw Strange Fluid and Handsome Hank & the lonesome boys, which didn’t play all the songs I hoped for ( no paradise City or Black Hole Sun ) but where as much fun as Gossip said they would be. Near midnight I called A and we and some other friends went to K17, from there to another club and - as the sun shone bright again - finally home.

Five hours later I had to get up again because I incautiously promised to my fellow Ka-Djins that we’ll meet for a sunday breakfast. We brunched for several hours and talked about the next Larp we’ll attend. The biggest question was how we fit L which is a new member into our group. We solved that problem - my character now has a sister. :-)

Nothing more to tell: If it were the desperados or just me growing old, I fell in my bed early…

one of those mornings

Tonight, as I slept anxiously, someone openend my head and replaced my brain with some slimy, gooey, rotten cheese-stuff. As if that weren’t enough he placed a decayed rodent in my mouth which he removed shortly before I woke up. At least that’s how I felt this morning.

I met my brain soon after getting up: The milk I poured over my cereals had turned sour.

Good morning, world. I love you too.
